Dr. Bratesh Das

Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist

Dr. Bratesh began his MBBS in 2011 at R G Kar Medical College and graduated in 2017. He completed a year of housestaff training in department of Gastroenterology. He started his journey of post-graduation in 2019 at Medical College, Kolkata, as a trainee in the Pediatrics Department. He graduated with an MD in Pediatrics in 2022, earning a gold medal during his studies.

During this time COVID hit. Dr. Bratesh performed his duty throughout every waves of the pandemic in the only COVID exclusive hospital of the state, i.e. Medical College, Kolkata. He also published studies on scrub typhus and ARDS in children with COVID during this time.
He served one year as a Senior Resident in Pediatric ICU at Medical College, Kolkata, and two years in the pediatric ward and emergency at District Hospital, Krishnanagar.
He works in department of Pediatrics at SSKM hospital as SR since 2025.

He enjoys writing, riding bikes and co-founded the theater group "Bihongo" in 2013. A sitar player, he finds solace in music. He has his keen interest in pediatric critical care, pediatric neurology, Bengali & English literature, and mountains.
